Position Summary
The Caregiver provides hands-on assistance, companionship, and emotional support to clients in their homes. This role involves helping with activities of daily living, promoting safety and well-being, and fostering a positive environment where clients feel valued and respected. The ideal candidate is empathetic, dependable, and passionate about making a difference in others' lives.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and mobility support while respecting the client's privacy and dignity.
- Ensure clients take prescribed medications on schedule (no medication administration required).
- Plan and prepare nutritious meals according to client preferences and dietary needs.
- Engage clients in conversation, games, and meaningful activities to promote emotional well-being and reduce loneliness.
- Maintain a clean and safe living environment by performing light chores such as laundry, dishwashing, and tidying.
- Provide safe transportation for appointments, shopping, or community outings as needed.
- Observe changes in the client's physical or mental condition and promptly report concerns to supervisors or family members.
- Complete daily care logs, progress notes, and other required reports accurately and on time.
- Recognize and appropriately respond to emergencies or health concerns, following established procedures.
